D. has been on tour for about two weeks now; he calls almost every night and makes it sound like the most boring job ever.
I think he's just trying to make me feel better. About staying behind with my nine-to-fiver, or just less resentful, I'm not sure.
Anyway, I know he's lying, because he called last night to tell me that Jason Newsted (of Metallica fame) was at their Los Angeles show (which, by the way, was sold out). Yeah. Boring.
D. said he's pretty small, which surprised him, but that he was cool enough to buy the entire venue a round. Not too shabby.
I pretend, when D. calls, that the most interesting thing in my life right now is not the ongoing saga of the Country Crock couple.
In other news, I should finally be buying a new computer next week. Which means I won't have to sneak entries from work, and things may finally get more interesting around here when I can actually write things down when they occur to me, not regurgitate it later when I get a chance.
I'm a little afraid that I don't really have anything left to say, though. I guess we'll see.
